A Personal Note

From Mackenzy

Dear Family, Friends and Supporters,

My name is Mackenzy Zion Sanders, and I am a senior at Olympic High School. I am honored and excited to have been selected as a Legacy Debutante for the 63rd Debutante Cotillion, sponsored by the Charlotte Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, in partnership with the Deltas of Charlotte Foundation.

Being part of this special tradition means so much to me. As a Legacy Debutante, I am proud to continue a tradition of excellence, service, and leadership. Through this experience, I look forward to building meaningful friendships and participating in activities that encourage cultural enrichment, personal development, and academic achievement.

As I prepare for the next chapter of my life, I am excited about all the opportunities that college will bring. To me, college is more than earning a degree. It is an opportunity to continue growing into the young woman I aspire to be. I look forward to challenging myself academically, pursuing my passions, and preparing for a future where I can make a positive difference in my community.

Why Donate?

The Cotillion Scholarship Program provides opportunities for college scholarships while also raising funds to support community service organizations. I have been fortunate to have so many wonderful people cheering me on throughout my life, and I would be honored to have your support as I take this next step toward my future. I am personally asking you to consider making a contribution to help me reach my fundraising goal. Whether your gift is large or small, it would mean so much to me to know that you are part of this special journey. Your generosity will not only support my educational dreams but also help make a difference in the lives of others.

Thank you for being part of my journey and for the love, encouragement, and support you have given me throughout the years. Your generosity means so much to me, and I am excited to share this special milestone with you!

With love and appreciation,

Mackenzy Zion Sanders

Future Plans & Aspirations

Continuing the Eagle legacy

For as long as I can remember, I have dreamed of attending North Carolina Central University. Growing up with two proud NCCU graduates as my parents, I have always felt a special connection starting from my first homecoming at 3 years old. I am excited that I will have the opportunity to follow in their footsteps while creating my own path and continuing our family's Eagle legacy.

I plan to major in Business Marketing and look forward to continuing one of my greatest passions, dance, as part of my college experience. Creativity has always been an important part of who I am, whether through dance, art, or design. After earning my undergraduate degree, I plan to pursue a master's degree in Architecture.
